Ronan Pecher

Young French designer Ronan Pecher, 25, fresh from ENSAD (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs), Paris would probably look like he has been kidnapped by some crazy elves or the Flintstones themselves... But in actuality this blue-eyed redhead looks normal ! For his very first collection, entitled "Lost in the woods", he indulged in draped and wrapped pieces, shredded materials and natural fabrics recalling leaf veins. The jacket-and-pants outfit in brown and orange hues is an ode to the wild, while the jacket adorned with immaculate 'animal skin' sleeves is a savage crazy take on the North Pole. As far as the knitted footwear is concerned, it symbolizes tree roots, as if Ronan Pecher 's creations allowed the daring wearer to bond with the elements. The fringing, shoelace details and relic-style ceramic jewelry are an invitation to go back to primal instincts. Round trip anyone ? A very original collection in symbiosis with nature that makes this coup de maître a real tour de force.
