Olivier Borde

The initial inspiration for this season's collection was from old 8mm films that Olivier Borde 's partner Heath Callender had of his family throughout the 1960s in Pennslyvania. They related a story involving a couple taking their first steps out of their cookie-cutter upbringing and beginning to explore the counterculture lifestyle -in essence shedding their past and in turn their wardrobe reflects this. But in spite of it all, the collection looks undeniably Parisian, staying cool and betraying any of the nerves that might come with revolutionary territory. Working with a subdued pallette of blue, khaki and white, this casual offering holds an air of simple refinement while keeping it rough around the edges, literally with raw hems on some of the tailored separates. A Frenchy fresh take on American staples and Old Glory -see last picture featuring a revamped American flag.
